Wonderful Jesus Is My True Friend

Now and forever wonderful Jesus is my true friend;

My heart tastes freedom when He touched my wounds,

Praise and adoration my soul gives to the Prince of Peace.

Whenever I feel lonely, His caring hands hug me,

Lovingly He lifts me up, always Jesus walks with me.

With a pure heart I can know that my Savior lives,

The darkness that swallows me is no more, great is His love!

He lives forever, my broken heart finds rest in His kindness,

Jesus is good all the time, to the Father�s heart I can flee;

My past I can forget completely as He holds my hands.

Though I live in the world, eternal love from heaven rings,

My worry and fear sink in the abundant grace of Christ;

Jesus is my Shepherd; never will He leave me desperate here.

His glory fills me today; His salvation is my triumph,

Deep is His love, day by day I enjoy being in His presence!
