Jesus Is My Shield

Hallelujah! Jesus is my shield in my distress.

He helps me with the warmth of His love;

His loving care proves that Jesus is faithful.

Under His wings, surely will I be lack nothing!

Though storms toss, I fly with the Lord;

By faith my soul is secure with my Savior.

Hallelujah! Jesus is my shield in deep despair.

When I am far from Him, His mercy shines;

How Jesus hugs me when everything goes wrong!

The darkness surrounds, yet Jesus keeps me,

His dearest child I am, never He abandons me.

Whatever befalls, His hands protect me from harm;

I have Jesus at my side, my fear and worries sink.

Glory hallelujah I sing to Jesus, He lives!

My heart rejoices in the melody of His love;

Sweet is my life since His love touched me.

Daily in victory I walk, Jesus fills me with joy.
