I Take My Cross with Gladness

I Take My Cross with Gladness

I take my cross with gladness,

Hearing His voice, my heart rejoices;

Jesus is here, what need I fear?

Faithful to God, abundant be His blessings;

My soul praises Him for His goodness,

Deeper in His love, light is my burden.

I would follow Jesus till the end,

Fulfilling my holy calling to serve Him;

His blessed will I do day by day.

Oh Jesus, if Your Spirit does guide me,

Surely whatever You desire I can accomplish;

Indeed, Youre my strength when billows roll!

Always Youre besides me, mine is Your peace,

On Jesus I lean, His wonderful grace I see.
