The Lost Sheep

The Lost Sheep

One by one
Into the dark abyss
Of fire and sulphur
March the lost and damned souls.

As the Tempter reigns
From a throne of evil,
The dark abode of demons
Claims the souls of the lost sheep.

Screaming and writhing in pain,
Sins dripping as blood from fingertips,
They suffer the agony and torture
Of the Angel of the Nether World.

Lost for eternity
In this pit of demons
Are the sheep who
Strayed from the flock.

GOD WEEPS.

About the Poet
I still have 4 grandsons and love to write. Although it hasn't been easy (nothing worth while ever is), on June 1 Floyd and I will celebrate our 57th wedding anniversary.
