Songs of Nature

 

Amber rays of dawn
Spill light upon
The silent earth.
Serenity reigns.

Let your heart dance
To the rhythm
Of restless butterfly wings
Hovering on a morning rose.

Catch the gentle raindrops
That wash away sorrows
And paint the earth
With colors of living jewels.

Sway to the music
Of whispering wind
As purple embers of dusk
Silhouette leafy boughs.

Frolic with moonbeams.
Swing from a magic star.
Hear the angels sing
From the exalted Heavens.

Soar with the eagles
Through time and space
As fluttering, misty shadows
Weave now the golden light
And day sleeps.

Life is but a moment.
Make every dream come true
With the Songs of Nature.

About the Poet
I still have 4 grandsons and love to write. Although it hasn't been easy (nothing worth while ever is), on June 1 Floyd and I will celebrate our 57th wedding anniversary.
