Sugar Bear-The 4,00th Teddy Bear

When I know it, I know it and that's all there is to it!
I feel it in my heart, and I feel it in my bones!
I'm ready to share my 4,000th teddy bear!

Compared to most of my bears, this one is quite old.
Her fur was cut, sewn together and stuffed in 1996.
She has been very gently loved.

I have lots of bears that are stored upstairs.
I know it!  I know it!  This is the one!
This one gives me a special vibe.

I've studied her up one side and down the other.
She's the one!  Of this, I am certainly certain!
Such a cute little lopsided smile has she.

If only she could talk.  Could she?  Should she?  Would she?
Oh, the wonderful, funny stories she could share.
Now, she will come home to live with you.

She will always and forever be a Belkie '96 teddy bear.
It's stitched on her foot.  Yep, she has been branded.
She wants to be your newest best friend.

Her dark eyes twinkle brightly.  Her blonde fur is quite shaggy.
Her arms and legs are jointed, but she can't turn her head.
Not too big or too small, she's just the right size.

I hope you will be happy with this bear chosen for you.
Take good care of her and keep her safe from harm.
She's yours to love forever and ever.

She's a Belkie Bear and she's also a Nan's Goodwill Bear.
When I know it, I know it and that's all there is to it!
She's the special bear God wants you to have.

I thank God for allowing me to have this teddy bear ministry.
For Glory to God, For Service to Mankind
Nan's Goodwill Bears
Her name is given in memory of my brother, Woody.  He used to call me Sugar Bear.

About the Poet
I grew up in rural North Carolina, married for 38 years to my best friend and soulmate, Allen, who retired almost 17 years ago from the Air Force after 24 years of service to our beloved America. We have a daughter, Ashley ( and son-in-law, Kris) and, a son, John, and, our two beautiful grand daughters, Amelia and Haley, and Isaac, our only grandson, all blessings from God. We have four cats; Mr. Peabody, Missy, aka Middle Kitty and Tabby, aka Little Kitty, and Gracie. I've seen a lot of hard times and God has always been here for me to see me through them. I am a vessel God can use to help others in need. If I could be described in one word, it would be that I am an encourager.
