       Thy Word

Oh, God, You are all knowing
and You are all loving.
Thank You, for Your words in
the greatest book ever written.

The Bible has opened up
for me, Your promises.
It has given me comfort,
strength and courage.

In time of greatest trials,
when in sorrow and in grief
Your words, God, only your words
have brought me the joy I so needed.

I am forever in Your debt.
Thank You for guiding me wherever
I go and in whatever I am doing.

"Thy word is a lamp to my feet,
and a light for my path."
(Psalm 119:105) NIV

About the Poet
Born on October 24, 1939, I was one of seven children. I am now a mother of seven grown children, grandmother of 18, widow, and writer for the past 50 years mostly poetry. Day care provider of many years, now retired. Three poetry books published, but no longer in print, several little poem books self published. Published in local newspapers, several magazines and daily devotionals. My faith, family and writing poetry has brought me thus far.
