Life Is Like a Feather

Life Is Like a Feather

I am taken with the thought
that life is like a feather
blowing in the wind.

It twists and turns in the
strong stormy winds and
moves ever gently when
the winds subside.

Never landing till
the winds stops.
God then whispers
"sit still" for all is well."

Life is like a feather, so
fragile in this vast world,
only God's gentle hands
hold us firm.

"We can make our plans, but the final
     outcome is in God's hands"
            (Proverbs 16:1)

About the Poet
Born on October 24, 1939, I was one of seven children. I am now a mother of seven grown children, grandmother of 18, widow, and writer for the past 50 years mostly poetry. Day care provider of many years, now retired. Three poetry books published, but no longer in print, several little poem books self published. Published in local newspapers, several magazines and daily devotionals. My faith, family and writing poetry has brought me thus far.
