Great Anticipation

Great Anticipation

There are so many things

Yet to be revealed to me

I have lived a life of poverty

As well as in luxury.

God, You supplied

All my needs here on earth.

I have never starved,

I have a solid roof

Over my head,

A bed to sleep in

And enough to eat.

You have given me

Many talents, love,

Work, children,

Grandchildren,

And blessings that

Fill my cup to

The brim.

There are still so many things

You alone will reveal to me.

I wait with great anticipation

And give You all the glory!

"Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered

into the heart of man the things which God has prepared

for those who love Him."(1 Corinthians 2:9)

About the Poet
Born on October 24, 1939, I was one of seven children. I am now a mother of seven grown children, grandmother of 18, widow, and writer for the past 50 years mostly poetry. Day care provider of many years, now retired. Three poetry books published, but no longer in print, several little poem books self published. Published in local newspapers, several magazines and daily devotionals. My faith, family and writing poetry has brought me thus far.
