Yearning

Oh yearning in my soul
If I had known no other love could satisfy
I would have saved the searching all for You Lord
The lover of my soul
The keeper of my secrets
And every breath I take
Who’s waited oh so patiently
For my pride to break
For my heart to soften
To hear You as You call
And know You never miss
A single sparrow fall
To know in Your forgiveness
I can feel truly free
And know You’re right beside me
As I try my best to be
In Your will and by Your grace
A child of purity.
