GRIEF
Grief came in like an uninvited guest Leaving ashes on the floor And taking my very best Mourning sat in the corner Dried as stale old bread Heaviness filled the room Like a sad song in my head But I stood like a tree Leafless but alive Rooted in faith you could not see Until His beauty took hold of me His anointing fed my soul As I sang a song of gratitude My heart it was made whole

About the Poet
I live in Queensland Australia with my husband son and daughter. I love the Lord and it is my passion to express my faith in whatever way He inspires me to.
At the moment it's poetry.
