The Cross 2
At first I didn’t hear it The message of the cross I just saw people wearing it And didn’t think about the loss It represented sadness It represented pain But now I know My Saviour It represents gain The gift of power to overcome The gift of sacrifice The gift of sweet humility Not thinking of the price The gift of keeping focused On the things above And then ultimately The gift of freely given love

About the Poet
I live in Queensland Australia with my husband son and daughter. I love the Lord and it is my passion to express my faith in whatever way He inspires me to.
At the moment it's poetry.
