A Poem

I’ll write you a poem
I’ll rhyme you a rhyme
But don’t think I wrote it
That may be a crime
No I waited in stillness
And pondered a while
On matters that touched me
And then with a smile
I heard that sweet voice
Familiar to me
My Father’s strong prompting
That can’t be denied
Must have a voice
And never has lied
And so on my paper
I release them with pen
Then my heart feels a peace
To listen again
For I feel complete
And feel satisfied
When He has a voice
And my own self has died

About the Poet
I live in Queensland Australia with my husband son and daughter. I love the Lord and it is my passion to express my faith in whatever way He inspires me to. At the moment it's poetry.
