The finished work of the Cross!

The old rugged cross He bore – carrying the heavy load – the weight of the world on His shoulders – Jesus endured and walked on – the salvation of mankind – and redemption of sin – He took our place – the finished work of the cross – is for all - the saving grace, mercy and love held Him there – on a hill called Calvary – He bled, suffered and died to save a wretch like me – even though He was beaten, bruised and scorned – He thought of me – amazing love, amazing grace – how can it be – that you my Savior would die fo me – All that we will ever need is found only in

The finished work of the cross of Jesus!

In glorious resurrection power – He arose! He arose up from the grave – He arose with a mighty triumph over His foes – defeating death, hell and the grave – He arose – the finished work of the cross – brings life to all who believe – believing is essential – we walk by faith and not by sight – the finished work of Christ is freedom to daily walk- with His Spirit's leading – His love for all was displayed on the cross – so all generations can partake of Christ – His glorious peace, love and joy will rest on the soul of one who surrenders all – in a heart seeking a more excellent way of life- as we accept His invitation to come and dine – victory is a sure thing – we win – freedom and eternal life has come by

The finished work of Christ!

On the cross – He said it is finished – His redeeming work is finished – He need do no more- now it is our choice to accept or reject- the finished work of Christ

Worthy is the Lamb!

About the Poet
I was born in Lexington County, SC. I lived in Jacksonville, Florida for many years.I recently moved back home to my home town, Columbia, SC. I have one daughter, Kimberly. I now have two brothers. One went to be with the Lord in January, 2010. My Mom went to be with the Lord, Memorial Day May 28, 2012. Among the things I am grateful for and remembering about her is my salvation. She was a strong passionate woman of God all of her life and a beautiful loving Mother. I was saved and baptized in the ocean in Rota, Spain. What an experience that was! Holy Spirit chased me and drew me to Himself, while I was alone in another country. I surrendered to the Lord, and His peace flooded my soul. It was so beautiful. I am so happy he saved me and redeemed me. I am so happy to share these poems from His heart and mine. Poetry is a release and has inspired and encouraged me and many who have read my poetry. I was blessed to write for a number of years on Crossway Publications and had over 300 poems that I wrote on the site. God has increased my gift with more beautiful poetry. In 2005 my poetic writings seemed to catch the fire of God and have a deeper meaning. I thank God for this chance to share my poetry with all. God Bless...
