He is the God who Answers by Fire

This poem came to mind after a sermon was preached at our church  Sunday based on 1 Kings 18....

HE IS THE GOD WHO ANSWERS

 BY FIRE!

 

LORD, I CALL ON THE NAME OF THE GOD WHO ANSWERS BY FIRE - HE IS GOD -  THE ONE BEFORE WHOM I STAND - IN HUMILITY, SUBMISSION AND REVERENT AWE - HIS POWER IS ABOVE ALL POWERS - THE GODS OF BAAL WILL FALL - ALL OF THEM - NEVER TO RISE AGAIN -  THERE IS NONE GREATER THAN GOD ALMIGHTY-  HE IS THE LORD WHO FLASHES DOWN FROM HEAVEN - AND IS - THE GOD WHO ANSWERS BY FIRE EVEN THROUGH WATER - HE BURNS UP WHAT IS NOT OF HIM -  LEAVING HIMSELF AS THE GREAT I AM - HE IS AN ALL CONSUMING FIRE - AN EVER PRESENT GOD WHO PERFECTS ALL THINGS THAT CONCERN US - FOR HIS GLORY, HONOR AND PRAISE - REVEALING HIS PRESENCE TO LEAD AND GUIDE US TO HIS PERFECT WILL - HIS PERFECT PLAN - FREEDOM AND DESTINY AWAIT ALL WHO KNOW THAT HE IS

 

THE GOD WHO ANSWERS BY FIRE!

 

THE GOD WHO ANSWERS BY FIRE - IS THE ONE WHO BURNS OUT THE DROSS - THE DEBRI - DARKNESS HAS NO HIDING PLACE - AS WE COME TO HIM IN REPENTANCE - OUR HEART IS CLEANSED AND PURIFIED - BY A LOVING AND FORGIVING GOD -  HE TAKES THE RESIDUE AWAY TO DO HIS FINISHING WORK - MAKING US A MASTERPIECE OF HIS GRACE - HE IS THE GOD WHO ANSWERS BY FIRE - AND FILLS US UP TO OVERFLOWING WITH HIS AWESOME SPIRIT -  JOY, PEACE AND DELIVERANCE ARE IN HIS WAKE - GIVING US STRENGTH TO WALK THE WALK - THE WALK OF UNSHAKEABLE FAITH - UNHINDERED -  HE HAS REMOVED THE SHACKLES AND CHAINS THAT BIND -  WE ARE LOOSED - THE ENEMY OF OUR SOUL IS RENDERED POWERLESS - HE IS UNDER OUR FEET - WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS - VICTORIOUS THROUGH

About the Poet
I was born in Lexington County, SC. I lived in Jacksonville, Florida for many years.I recently moved back home to my home town, Columbia, SC. I have one daughter, Kimberly. I now have two brothers. One went to be with the Lord in January, 2010. My Mom went to be with the Lord, Memorial Day May 28, 2012. Among the things I am grateful for and remembering about her is my salvation. She was a strong passionate woman of God all of her life and a beautiful loving Mother. I was saved and baptized in the ocean in Rota, Spain. What an experience that was! Holy Spirit chased me and drew me to Himself, while I was alone in another country. I surrendered to the Lord, and His peace flooded my soul. It was so beautiful. I am so happy he saved me and redeemed me. I am so happy to share these poems from His heart and mine. Poetry is a release and has inspired and encouraged me and many who have read my poetry. I was blessed to write for a number of years on Crossway Publications and had over 300 poems that I wrote on the site. God has increased my gift with more beautiful poetry. In 2005 my poetic writings seemed to catch the fire of God and have a deeper meaning. I thank God for this chance to share my poetry with all. God Bless...
