Inspired at Shandon church, Columbia,SC “The well”

during praise and worship

I heard Him call my name - out

deep waters – I was drowning and running away from His voice- I heard Him call my name softly and tenderly - in the depths of my soul – I wanted to answer – my stubborn pride and sin held me back – I heard Jesus call my name and whisper I love you more than you know – with an everlasting love I have called you – I knew you before you were formed in your Mother's womb – I heard Him call my name – from a distance I saw Him – never closer for I was afraid – I was not brave enough to draw near – I heard You call my name in a special way I could not ignore -Your words infiltrated my soul – I could not resist anymore – Your relentless love broke down the barriers I had built to keep You out – Your uncompromising and compassionate love called me to Your side – with tears in my eyes – I surrendered all when

I heard You call my name!

Your Spirit surrounded me – Your grace overwhelmed – You called me Your beloved – You told me You died just for me – I heard You call me out of sin and shame – I came to repentance – looking into Your eyes – I saw only love – I heard You call my name and I am forgiven – I am dancing freedom's song of the redeemed – setting me on the path of victory to eternity – because

I heard You call my name!

I heard You call my name – out of Your well of living water – that flows freely to all – I am cleansed, washed whiter than snow in the precious blood of the Lamb – I heard You call my name – I had to let go and let God – trusting Him to make me complete, satisfied and His – I heard Him call me to rest in Him – all is well -we can rely on His faithfulness – trust in His goodness – His plan and purpose are for good even when we can't see it – I heard Him call my name – my heart soars and overflows with love – for His mercy and grace follows me whereever I go – He leads me to peaceful waters - I am never alone – I am blessed to be a blessing – for

He has called my name

and I have answered with a

resounding Yes Lord!

About the Poet
I was born in Lexington County, SC. I lived in Jacksonville, Florida for many years.I recently moved back home to my home town, Columbia, SC. I have one daughter, Kimberly. I now have two brothers. One went to be with the Lord in January, 2010. My Mom went to be with the Lord, Memorial Day May 28, 2012. Among the things I am grateful for and remembering about her is my salvation. She was a strong passionate woman of God all of her life and a beautiful loving Mother. I was saved and baptized in the ocean in Rota, Spain. What an experience that was! Holy Spirit chased me and drew me to Himself, while I was alone in another country. I surrendered to the Lord, and His peace flooded my soul. It was so beautiful. I am so happy he saved me and redeemed me. I am so happy to share these poems from His heart and mine. Poetry is a release and has inspired and encouraged me and many who have read my poetry. I was blessed to write for a number of years on Crossway Publications and had over 300 poems that I wrote on the site. God has increased my gift with more beautiful poetry. In 2005 my poetic writings seemed to catch the fire of God and have a deeper meaning. I thank God for this chance to share my poetry with all. God Bless...
