The Christ of God

You are the Christ,

Son of the living God;

Promise of God,

To be the salvation,

Of all mankind;

The fall of mankind,

Its legacy one to pass on,

But then follows redemption;

This burden of redemption,

Only by the cross to bear;

For God so loved the world,

He gifted himself to the world;

And only through faith,

To believe in the Word,

Formed He into flesh His Word;

And so God walked the waters;

For the earth and its fullness is His;

The earth, the footstool, is His;

And He walked with healing,

And he walked in mercy,

Today and tomorrow unto us His mercy
