CALVARY

So they crucified him at Calvary Hill -
on Calvary's Cross; like a common criminal,
as the words of the prophets were fulfilled;
his sorrowing mother there she stood.
The sky darkened that day, at Calvary Hill
in a phenomenal way, some onlookers say.
As he muttered a psalm, and bowed to his father's will,
for forgiveness he interceded;
on behalf of a world, loved by God still.
This lamb of God, his precious blood shed.
Saviour and reedemer; like a common criminal
transformed that day, at Calvary Hill.
