heaven on My Mind When I wake up in the morning, quite often I will find, My thoughts and songs are telling, I have Heaven on my mind! And as I go through-out the day these can lift my spirits high, And I don't have to wonder at this when my Savior God is nigh!
When I retire to bed at night I sleep with restful ease, I do not fear what night may hold, I have in Christ, His Peace! Yes, night or day and in-between my Hope rests in my God! All Glory, Honor, Praise, and Joy I give to Christ, with Laud!
For when God created the heavens and earth He set aside souls for the Gift of new birth! For even in Creation, our future lay behind, When God The Father, even then, had Heaven on His Mind! |

About the Poet
I am 64, a born-again Christian, and didn't write until 1974. My mother inspired me to write poetry, from an early age since she developed a deep love for poetry in my life. However it took years before I tried to write. My favorite subject to write about is my Savior, Jesus Christ, and religious subjects. I reside in Cleveland, Ohio.
