A Reminder My heart defers to You, oh Lord, In what I do and say, Although at times, You'll find discord, I come to You to pray!
And deep within my prayer I find, My very soul laid bare, It's then I need You to remind, Me always of Your Care,
Because there's sin within my soul, Along with hurts and tears, And I need You to make me whole, For You, my soul endears!
My heart defers to You, oh Lord, Remember I am clay, And if You daily, would afford, Remind me every day! |

About the Poet
I am 64, a born-again Christian, and didn't write until 1974. My mother inspired me to write poetry, from an early age since she developed a deep love for poetry in my life. However it took years before I tried to write. My favorite subject to write about is my Savior, Jesus Christ, and religious subjects. I reside in Cleveland, Ohio.
