Our Lord Provides

When God's Promise came, in Sarah's old age,

And she faced the fact that her womb had died,

She started to laugh, till she turned the 'page',

And the Lord God, (our Savior) did Provide!

 

When Moses was trapped, there at the Red Sea,

And He longed to cross to the other side,

He called on the God Who could set them free,

And the Lord God, (our Savior), did Provide!

 

When Joshua entered the Promised Land,

Forty years after the twelve had spied,

He had no fear, for He trusted God's Hand,

And the Lord God, (our Savior) did Provide!

 

When you reach the place where you think no one,

Can help you through, though you've desperately tried,

Place your trust in Jesus, think of all He's done,

And the Lord God (our Savior) WILL Provide!

About the Poet
I am 64, a born-again Christian, and didn't write until 1974. My mother inspired me to write poetry, from an early age since she developed a deep love for poetry in my life. However it took years before I tried to write. My favorite subject to write about is my Savior, Jesus Christ, and religious subjects. I reside in Cleveland, Ohio.
