Love Them While You Can
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

By James Timothy Harvey
Other Poems by James Timothy Harvey

Love them while you can,

They are not long for here,

Life is, at best, short-lived,

And death itself draws near,

Love them while you can,

And surely let them know,

Embarressed? Don't hold back,

If you love them, tell them so,

Love them while you can,

Love is the only debt,

You owe to one and all,

Or else you'll buy regret,

The hours, days, and years,

Haste on for every man,

And all too soon bring tears,

So love them...while you can!

About the Poet
I am 64, a born-again Christian, and didn't write until 1974. My mother inspired me to write poetry, from an early age since she developed a deep love for poetry in my life. However it took years before I tried to write. My favorite subject to write about is my Savior, Jesus Christ, and religious subjects. I reside in Cleveland, Ohio.
