When Trials Come

When Trials Come

When something happens to me that I cannot understand,

I have to 'come home' to the Refuge found in Jesus' Hands,

For I may walk on but for sure, I will not walk alone,

But walk through life with Christ, my Savior, I claim as my own!

Yes, in this world our earthly troubles come and seek us out,

Yet Jesus holds the 'antidote' for every bit of doubt,

This 'antidote' is Trusting Him in all things, as we must,

Until we're Home with Jesus, having overcome 'the dust'!

So, my brothers and my sisters, faithful family of God,

Raise up the Banner of Salvation to the One we laud!

For He Who has been, and will be, our Lord Christ, yes, Who Is!

Will keep for all Eternity the ones He Knows as His!

(prayer can change circumstances, as well as people) God Bless!

About the Poet
I am 64, a born-again Christian, and didn't write until 1974. My mother inspired me to write poetry, from an early age since she developed a deep love for poetry in my life. However it took years before I tried to write. My favorite subject to write about is my Savior, Jesus Christ, and religious subjects. I reside in Cleveland, Ohio.
