Oh Lord, Please Show Us The Way

oh Lord,PLEASE show us the way
so many things we don't know how to say
we humans just can't comprehend
why lives this way had to end
in our homeland such turmoil and fear
please Lord, SHOW them You are near
speak to the hearts of ALL AMERICANS
we won't give up because of the hurricanes
so many good people are on Your side
and in YOUR love we do abide
Lord, please hear our prayers
as we encounter those with blank stares
lead us, guide us and direct us in all we say and do
others need to know Your LOVE is true
oh Lord, please show us the way
in Your Precious Name we pray Amen

So do not fear, for I am with you
Do not be dismayed, for I am your God
I will strengthen you and help you
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand
Isaiah 41:10

About the Poet
I grew up in rural North Carolina, married for 38 years to my best friend and soulmate, Allen, who retired almost 17 years ago from the Air Force after 24 years of service to our beloved America. We have a daughter, Ashley ( and son-in-law, Kris) and, a son, John, and, our two beautiful grand daughters, Amelia and Haley, and Isaac, our only grandson, all blessings from God. We have four cats; Mr. Peabody, Missy, aka Middle Kitty and Tabby, aka Little Kitty, and Gracie. I've seen a lot of hard times and God has always been here for me to see me through them. I am a vessel God can use to help others in need. If I could be described in one word, it would be that I am an encourager.
