Doing the Right Things

Doing the Right Things I've done too many wrong things I thought were for right reasons I've searched the limits of my faith beyond its farthest regions. To assume a thing is right when it, in fact, is wrong causes a separation and a nagging all day long. It makes me think back over the words I spoke today perhaps an unkind deed or thought that just won't go away. These times I feel like a toddler taking baby steps t'ward Him I fall before I reach His Arms and must crawl back again. Though in each trial God has a plan to teach me His instructions He brings my actions into view so I make no assumptions, and in these times I learn to lean upon His sweet detention for that 'nagging' I have felt is God's loving conviction. My Lord is Truth and Spirit to avoid the serpent's stings for all of the right reasons I will learn to do right things. Proverbs 1:3 ~ To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity; Proverbs 1:7 ~ The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. |

About the Poet
I feel truly blessed to have been a wife, mother, grandmother and servant of God through salvation in Jesus Christ my Lord. I pray that my offering to Him through this seemingly innocuous form of communication called poetry will always lift His Name above all other names. May God bless each of us in this pursuit.
