If Yesterdays Could Change
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

If Yesterdays Could Change

If the past dictates the future
if yesterdays could change
if history's world servitude

should somehow re-arrange,

transgressions would be vanquished
no longer tares have life
no path found where wrath abounds
no struggles, fears or strife,

all born to perfect parentage
completing mystery
all souls are fed, all sick are healed
banished is misery,

world wars cease, all live in peace
pure consciences would reign
all undivided nations dwell
safely in world domain.

Would not this life be paradise?
Old earth in harmony?
Remove rose-colored glasses, please
... 'tis Heaven that you see.

About the Poet
I feel truly blessed to have been a wife, mother, grandmother and servant of God through salvation in Jesus Christ my Lord. I pray that my offering to Him through this seemingly innocuous form of communication called poetry will always lift His Name above all other names. May God bless each of us in this pursuit.
