Father's Climbing Vine
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

Father's Climbing Vines

Father knows how to prune His climbing vines
to make them wholly His, not world entwined.
He snips away debris that chokes vine-life
removing obstacles to His Son Light,

No Godly fruit shall fall upon the ground
but ripen 'til due season does abound,
from tart to sweetest succulence sublime
Father proclaims His Love for fruitful vines,

How pleasant is Son-seeking tendrils climb
inching their way upward to height inclined,
more gracious still are Mercy Breaths that blow
gently o'er last day lands where His Vines grow.

Genesis 40:10 ~ And in the vine were three branches: and it was as though it budded, and her blossoms shot forth; and the clusters thereof brought forth ripe grapes:

John 15:4 ~ Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

About the Poet
I feel truly blessed to have been a wife, mother, grandmother and servant of God through salvation in Jesus Christ my Lord. I pray that my offering to Him through this seemingly innocuous form of communication called poetry will always lift His Name above all other names. May God bless each of us in this pursuit.
