Ohio Farm
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

Other Poems by David L. Clingerman

Ohio Farm,

Grazing cattle,
romping dogs,
not in battle.
Meandering stream,
flowing crystal clear,
Drinking cows,
without fear.
Maple sap,
Hot on a boil!
Pancakes awaiting'
sap's long toil.
Horses to ride,
without a saddle,
blisters are made,
but one won't tattle.
Bodies now browned,
by the summer's sun.
Working the fields
could be lots of fun.
There are seasons for berries,
and seasons of corn,
seasons for hunting,
And things to be born.
Life giving life,
is all about farming,
Born on a farm,
surroundings quite charming.
From the farm we may go!
But the farm it will stay,
in the hearts of all those,
who have romped through the hay.
