Seed Time and Harvest
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

Seed Time and Harvest

The sun has kissed the earth once more,
and wintertime has passed.
Springtime with garden chores,
Has called us to her tasks.
The remnants of fall are raked,
In piles ever neat,
And placed to rot for earthly sake,
In moisture and heat.
From Fall's lately death,
Will spring new life to grow and bloom,
All hidden from strife.
The soil is turned and finely prepared,
On hands and knees is mixed with care.
Some seeds are planted for food and sight,
With hopes of a harvest with many to share.
And so the cycle begins again,
Seedtime and harvest,
With winter to end.
So thankful are we for the heavenly plan,
for seedtime and harvest,
As long as the earth shall stand.
