In Search of a Savior
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

I searched for you

along the Trinity River,
where berries grow wild
with flowers in spring.

I traveled to the coast
and wandered on the shore,
listening for your footsteps
in shadows of the sun.

I sought your presence
through the mountains of Vermont,
in streams of solitude
on bright days in June.

I journeyed across the desert
and the waterless oasis,
towards the star of the north
that points to a savior.

I was found by you
above a canyon on a crumbling bridge,
abandoned, alone and in despair
a child was born within.
