Your Love Sustains Me

Your Love Sustains Me

Tucked away in it's secret place that I save just for you,
is the one thing that makes life all worth while.

No, it's not the air I breathe
not the food I eat.

Nor the sun that shines,
on those bright summer days.

Not the birds who sing,
nor the flowers that bloom
in all their splendid glory.

You see my darling, there is
only one thing that saves me
from the desolation
that I feel on those dark days
when I feel that I can not go on.

I draw on this when life wants to
go from me,
I drink from the fountain of your love
that flows deep within.

Darling, I want you to know that it is
your love that sustains me
