A Memory Box

A Memory Box

Some are decorative
made of rosewood, cedar
some of plain cardboard
or tin

One thing they
have in common is
they hold pieces
of memories of special
moments, special people

The items inside
are worn from
age, being taken
out remembered, loved
put back in

My memory box
holds so very
little
for you must have
memories before they
can be held,
loved

So for the very
few I have, hold
so dear
are kept safe
here within

Myself
