Desert Meanderings

Desert Meanderings

Within rigtheousness sin is slain,

Stunned into helpless gain,

It, a harmless monster becoming;

The will of God stands firm, unmoving,

Already prepared, already resolved;

Foolish! foolish!

The plan of the weavers who like webbers,

Thread their spindles, like delicate spiders,

All in the  open face of retribution;

On the face of God waits salvation,

Readable to eyes turned to his loving care;

Shh! Shh!

You sayers of untruth, your soft soaked lies appeal;

Smooth as silk, sweet as honey, enticing and with zeal.

To pilgrims, venturing far and wide

Fed on the sour guts of rawhide

Hark! Hark!

There's  still hearing, in recognition,

That voice  of truth mapping through perdition;

A faithful God awaits, the returning,

The brightest sun radiating;

The light of day

In one single ray.

Joyful! Joyful!

Days of festivals echo songs of joyous praise,

Richoching through fortressed walls to raise;

A hew and cry of faith, issues through the hope

Of desert meanderings.
