Blood

(who is there to pity you, Jerusalem -Jer15:5)

Misery feeds like a glutton
On the blood of innocents

Prepared at his banquet table
Battle war defeat and blood

Hungrily sadness seats himself
To gourge at his blood feast

Security is lost and in
Strides despair for the lifeblood

Death grins in the face of defeat
And stirs blood in his tureen

Women servers carry no smiles
Their swollen bellies cry blood

This meal is much too substandard
Spilt blood cannot nourish 20010400
