Friday's Dove

Today is Good Friday the most wonderful of days,
when Satan was defeated so to God I give praise.

You’re invited to come for on this day I go
where a man on that hill freed the grateful below.

The most peaceful of places God leads me to share.
If it’s burdens you carry drop them off while you're there.

As you draw closer on top you will see
the cross where Christ hung to save you and me.

After finding the top you encounter God's grace
while your mind's seeing visions of what here took place.

Paying the price that we could not pay,
freeing us from our sin on this loving day.

Receive now His spirit, feel the one true God’s love,
On your heart may it rest, gently present like a dove.

Raise your hands toward His promise.
Eden lost, Christ restores!

It’s through faith you will live
In the son God adores.
