Transformed

As time flutters by with my purpose unclear
I never reflected on why I am here.

What if somehow it was made clear to me
the things of importance I just didn't see.

Suppose that the doctor pinpointed the day
that it would all end and be taken away.

A prisoner in chains is what you would find
if I had recieved some news of that kind.

I'd be caught in the waters.
Abandoned to the dark sea.

I'd realize how there was no hope for me.

A camel can't pass through the eye, it won't budge.
I must unload my burdens-let go of that grudge.

Just then I'd look, and there up above
blooms the mistletoe of God's unconditional love.

I'd recieve that kiss, revealing to me
the things of importance I just didn't see,

to guide my direction and show me the way,
it's how I would make it through till the last day.

I'd realize my life was to glorify Him,
and to help other peoples from looking so dim.

Transformed to a butterfly out in a field-
from a prisoner in chains once all was revealed

About the Poet
I love God and claim Jesus as lord. My purpose is to encourage others to do the same.
