A Whisper or Shout

A Whisper or a Shout

Whenever our Savior God speaks out

Be it a whisper or even a shout

Whether in a calm or a raging sea

This is my Sovereign God speaking to me

He shouts in the tempest that I'm going through

He whispers to me when the storm clouds are few

Regard-less, I'm glad that He speaks out at all,

To me, a sinner who deserves not His Call

But, until the Day of our Master's Return

Or the day of my death, help me, Lord, to learn

To point to Your Gift of Emancipation

That comes through a whisper, or a shout, of Salvation!

inspired by the words of C.S. Lewis

About the Poet
I am 64, a born-again Christian, and didn't write until 1974. My mother inspired me to write poetry, from an early age since she developed a deep love for poetry in my life. However it took years before I tried to write. My favorite subject to write about is my Savior, Jesus Christ, and religious subjects. I reside in Cleveland, Ohio.
