The Second Advent

The Second Advent

It was Love that brought our Savior down

To birth in a tiny Judean town,

Yes, The God Who roamed infinity

Came to the earth to set His own free!

For we were all the lost in sin,

But The God-head cherished the sons of men,

Hence, the Arrival of our Savior Son!

To do what no one else could have done!

For only Christ could end the curse

That was placed on the entire Universe,

So all the Redeemed should should cry, Amen!

For our Savior King is Coming Again...!

To gather His sheep within The Fold,

With no more death, nor growing old!

But until He Comes, O soul, abide!

For The King is Coming to claim His 'Bride.'!

About the Poet
I am 64, a born-again Christian, and didn't write until 1974. My mother inspired me to write poetry, from an early age since she developed a deep love for poetry in my life. However it took years before I tried to write. My favorite subject to write about is my Savior, Jesus Christ, and religious subjects. I reside in Cleveland, Ohio.
