Evergreens

Thru evergreens so stately tall,
sky bluest blue that I recall
and
sunbeam fingers,
rays to burst...
reaching for that starlight first.
A twinkle in the darkened sky
and
blue/black curtains
rising high,
as night descends
and suns rays ends,
branches sways and dips and bends,
dancing til the music ends.
Evergreens outside my pane,
shelter me from wind and rain.
Flailing branches fight the storm,
keep me safe and fuzzy warm,
guard me like a solid wall,
my evergreens...so stately tall.
