Snowbound

Snow is falling, drifting 'round,
covering tracks left on the ground...
closing paths, making treacherous roads,
monster plows carry salty loads.
Family fun, 'jammie days,
games 'n fun...snowbound ways.
Ever wonder about a home,
where someone lives all alone?
No family fun, with games to share,
no one here and they can't go there,
but.....
People alone can always adjust,
it's a way of life...and it's a must,
to fill our time, to fill our days,
to make them happy in so many ways.
We create a way to make life worthwhile,
to dry the tears, to make us smile,
to show the world that we're ok,
to make it thru another day.
To spend these days in isolation
never brings a limitation,
to how we spend these quiet hours,
we simply stop to 'smell the flowers',
because we've lived so long and full,
we've had our cares and a load to pull.
Although alone we've shed some tears,
we've learned to love these quiet years.
So blizzards never change our view,
we just do the things we always do.
