Healer of All Hearts

Healer of All Hearts As I stood in the crowds
Who gathered on this day
Beneath darkening clouds
Some mocked while others pray.

They came to see a man
A healer,a prophet,a king.
Who speaks as no one can
Giving the hopeless a reason to sing.

But a heretic He was found
Ignorance sealed his fate
Crucifixion He was bound
All hope seemed to late.

As He passed by me slowly
With cross and crown of thorns
I felt a presence so holy
Though His figure and features were torn.

As He made his way up the mount
I could hear the hammers strike
With more faces than I could count
All witnessed Him suffer and die.

As thunder and lightning befell us
All eyes turned up to the sky
As if the heavens tried to tell us
For you this man suffered and died.

But take heart now brother
For on the third day he arose
A man born like no other
His love to this very day flows

We shall not forget His purpose
His blood had bought our pardon
Once again we'll see His face
Among the flowers of Heavens garden
