Rose of Crimson

Oh sweet rose of crimson red
From the garden left your bed
As the blood for me He shed
Will dispel all of my dread

And the thorns upon your stem
Will remind me once again
How a crown was made of them
How He bled for me back then

With your leaves of Kelly green
A soft texture with dim sheen
Reminds me as you careen
On His cross I daily lean

Fertile soil from which you grew
A seed planted fresh anew
Will grow firm and tall so true
With a love to see me through
