Lord on High

Lord on High

Down trodden soul barely alive
A water hole that went dry
Doing what I can to survive
As I pray to my Lord on high

Persistent trials come everyday
But they won't stop me as I try
With confidence the words I say
As I talk to my Lord on high

Though at times they get me so down
With my Lord in heart I get by
In His word a beautiful sound
As I read of my Lord on high

One day when the Lord calls me home
To Him I'll sprout my wings and fly
In His kingdom no more to roam
As I bow to my Lord on high

To this world I'll bid fare thee well
Weep not for me, no need to cry
The flood waters of love will swell
As I sing to my Lord on high
