Under Glass

Under Glass

I feel your constant gaze
At times, I feel your tender touch
My days and nights intertwine
As if held unmoved in time

You smile, watching my every move
Your eyes twinkle behind impish thoughts
Your lips whisper passionate secrets
Your arms embrace my very being

Softly tracing the out lines of your face
Admiring the strength yet the gentleness
The curves of your lips, remembering the kiss
The color of your eyes so alluring blue

Smiling I remind my self each moment
That I love you; I always have
As I look deeply into your eyes
That special look of love over flows
Leading me home into your soul

I close my eyes putting to rest another day
Gently, tenderly I place your portrait
Upon the table next to my bed
Whispering you a wonderful nights rest

Tomorrow brings a new day
It shall bring us another day closer
Till the morning comes, when
Not in dreams but in reality
We will hold and cherish each other.

So until we are blessed for that forever morning
I will touch the face I will forever love
Held in time in this portrait framed
Under glass.
