Meager Man

Words from the pages
Do not ignite the imagination
You can not feel the joy or pain
For it is just a story

Yet, the words from the pages
Tell of a history
A story of a meager gentleman
One most do not understand

Now, the words from the pages
Leap upon a canvas
Forcing our hearts, our souls
To see what our imagination
Could not fathom

To see an innocent willingly, lovingly
Suffered horrible pain
Held in distain
However, his goal in life
Was never shaken

His undying love screamed for us
Most believe him a fable, a legend
Because the words on the pages
Do not ignite the imagination

If one does not see then one does not believe
Yet isn’t believing truly not seeing
What a shame that one has to see
What the imagination could not

To give one’s own life
Endure unmentionable terror
To take on all sins for every generation
So that all may….

Be welcome to the breast of his Father
To know the purest of love
To understand we are never alone
We just have to ask and He will be there

Words from the pages
Did not ignite the imagination
Words from the pages upon canvas
Ignited our shame
