Winter Tears
Viewed Last 24 Hours: 1 time

Winter Tears

The wind blows cold
Leaves drift upon the currents
A shiver runs through me
For I am missing you
Winter is here
I miss the warmth of your arms
The comfort of your smile
And yearn to bask in your love
"Have faith" I say to myself
That one day you will return
Or meet me at our chosen home
I fight back the tears of fear
And bravely try to ignore this
Empty feeling in my heart
Because you are not near
"Faith" I say to myself
Holding fast to your last words
Before you took this journey

"This separation is temporary
And soon we will never
Leave each other again."

I miss you,
I love you,
My mate to my soul
