The Ultimate Sacrifice

The Ultimate Sacrifice

Jesus took our guilt upon Himself
and nailed it to the cross at Calvary.
The perfect lamb of God became the
ultimate sacrifice
to set us free from death's penalty.

Jesus shed His blood upon the cross
as the nails were hammered in His
hands and feet.
He endured this pain to save our souls;
now His work on earth was complete.

Jesus did not stay dead in the grave
for death could not hold Him there.
He rose from the grave on the third day;
now our souls have been spared.

He carried the weight of our sin
on the wooden cross at Calvary.
Because of God's great love for us,
we shall dwell with Him eternally.
