The Father's Heart Was Broken

The Father’s heart was broken

the day that Adam sinned.

When Adam ate the forbidden fruit

God knew that He could not let the

serpent win.

The Father’s heart was broken

as tears rolled down His face.

But already had a plan prepared

to save the human race.

The Father’s heart was broken

as He watched His Son die.

It caused Him so much pain

that darkness filled the sky.

The Father’s heart was broken

as His Son was crucified.

He knew that this must happen

in order to save mankind.
