Through a Friend

Through a Friend

Lord, I have been so grieved,
Only You know why...
No one down here understands,
No, Lord, not even I.

Times like this I want out,
Tell the world I'm through...
Times when I "reject" myself,
And yes, Lord, even You.

Pain like this can't be shared,
It was made for one...
And it can't be lessened, Lord,
Till its course is run.

But You sent hope today, Lord:
"Hang on, child, this will end"
Today I got an "I care" card ~
You loved me through a friend.

About the Poet
IN MEMORIAM I'm just a servant of the Lord that wants to magnify Him through poetry, and to cause others to focus on Him.
