He First Loved Me

I love to sing and write about Jesus,

and all of the things that He did.

To read the many parables,

and all the wisdom He once said.

 I love to see when a person is saved,

when they come to know God’s Son.

I love to feel secure in the Lord,

as each new day is finally done.

I love to see when someone is healed,

just knowing who performed this deed.

I love to give where He tells me to,

because He always blesses the seed.

I love to think about how I first was saved,

where would I have been without Him?

I love to watch people grow in their faith;

they just jump into the water and swim.

I love to see the multitudes gather,

to see His works being done.

I love to hear the word of the Father,

saying listen to my Son.

 I love to think of heaven,

and the many sights I will see.

I love to think of who is waiting there,

ready to welcome me.

 I love the thought of seeing His throne,

where Jesus is setting down.

I love the thought of being there,

just standing on holy ground.

I love being in that place that is so awesome,

where my Father will provide.

I love being close to my precious Lord Jesus,

just standing there by His side.

 I love everything about my Savior,

and my heavenly family tree.

Do you know why I love him with all of my heart;

it is because He first loved me.
